The Charlottetown Airport Authority and the Autism Society of Prince Edward Island are delighted to be hosting the Autism Aviators mock travel day on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
This program aims to ease the travel process for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families by giving them the opportunity to experience travel without actually leaving the airport. You will get to experience airport processes firsthand including check-in, security screening, waiting in the departure lounge, a simulated "aircraft" boarding, and baggage retrieval off the belt.
By getting comfortable with the airport and flight experience, without actually leaving the airport, we hope families will gain the familiarity and confidence they need to take future trips with ease and less stress.
